NBA 2K24’s Detachment from Non-Basketball Content Should Mean More Focus on Gameplay

Since “NBA 2K24 MyCareer” will prioritize basketball over boring content, the developer may devote more energy and resources to the gameplay of “NBA 2K24”. Hopefully, this means the quality of the game has improved over previous NBA 2K titles. How it turns out remains to be seen, but the extra focus on core content won’t hurt anyone.

No game is perfect, and anyone seeking that in NBA 2K24 is likely to be disappointed. However, the leaner announcement this time around certainly bodes well for the game compared to past titles. As far as details that NBA 2K can focus on, players can probably expect better gameplay, an improved MyPlayer build system, and fewer glitches and bugs. Maybe NBA 2K24 will finally have an improved VC system because NBA 2K23’s VC system has a lot of problems in terms of appearance and upgrade attributes. Here you need to dunk 10 times in multiple (or one) Triple Treat offline games.Just make sure you pick a player with decent speed and dunk ratings to beat the AI and get to the hoop for finishing.

• TTO or Co-Op Dunks

Next, you need to complete five dunks in either Triple Treat Online or a Co-Op game. This is half the requirement and can still be done over multiple matches, but there is a forced online element at play.

• CT Dunk

Now we repeat the first objective with a different game mode. Likewise, you need to complete 10 dunks in Clutch Time Offline, and it’s not limited by how many games you need to play.Play on a lower difficulty and you should be able to finish in one match.

• CTO Dunk

We are once again entering the online version of the previous agenda. Here, you’ll need to complete five dunks in a Clutch Time Online match, and this can be done over multiple matches.

• Infinite dunk

Dunk plays a role in all of this agenda, in case it wasn’t obvious by now. So it’s no surprise to see that you’ll need another five, this time in the infinite game mode.

• Restricted dunk

Last but not least, you’ll need to complete five more dunks in Limited.

Dr. Disrespect Location and Horse-Beating Techniques

You’ll receive a new task to meet Dr. Disrespect for some basketball challenges after you accept the Mountain Dew endorsement deal.

You’ll eventually achieve the objective to “talk to Dr. Disrespect to challenge him to a game of H.O.R.S.E.” This indicates that you are nearly finished with this project.

However, locations on the map are known to be glitchy, so don’t panic if you don’t have a clear place to go.

Dr. Disrespect is located in Robert Miles Court, a private park in the upper left corner of the map, not far from the Western Wildcats Affiliation Borough.

Your challenge will be to win a HORSE match, but this can be difficult if you’re not used to performing different types of shots.

However, if you’re on Rookie, standard mid-range shots between the paint and the 3-point line tend to trip up the AI, so stick with those, you should wrap this up after a try or two.

After HORSE is won, the final challenge is a 3v3 duel in the same location, not the same as J. Cole in Dreamer Court after completing the It’s a Cole World mission.

Stick to your basic principles and you should be able to pull this off without a hitch, which will reward you with the following:

A week after the last Current Gen fix was released, NBA 2K23 update 1.05 has started hitting consoles.

We haven’t been able to verify the version number and download size on PS4, but last week’s NBA 2K23 update 1.04 indicated that the latest PS4 version is version 1.05.

We can confirm that the download size on Xbox One is absolutely massive, totaling 41.41 GB, but it has been reported that this may be related to an Xbox bug that triggers you to redownload a lot of games when the update arrives.

This new NBA 2K23 update is version 1.0.0.6 on Xbox One, but it’s important to note that these numbers don’t line up very often, as different platforms use different numbering systems.

For example, as of a few weeks ago, the next-gen NBA 2K23 version on PS5 has been upgraded to version 1.007, while the Xbox Series X|S version has been upgraded to version 2.0.0.11 with the same update.

As such, it’s hard to say how much has been fixed at the moment, as 2K has yet to release the official NBA 2K23 update 1.05 patch notes.

Will 2K really release any official patch notes?

Unfortunately, this year’s story quickly shifted from “wow patch notes take a while” to “do they even stop doing patch notes?”

While the occasional hotfix didn’t get full detailed patch notes, most major NBA 2K22 updates received a basic sideline report outlining the fix.

With NBA 2K23 Season 2 just over a week away this Friday, it’s possible that final preparations for the game are underway to ensure a smooth launch in MyTEAM and MyCAREER.

It also means we probably have the best chance of getting the official patch notes from 2K via a sideline report outlining what’s changed, but only time will tell if they decide to provide any clarity for this update.
